About Me
My investigation is centered around the question: How can visual art show the importance and urgency of endangered animals in a way that encourages people to take action? This collection of artwork raises awareness about endangered animals, highlighting their beauty and the need for protection. Through these pieces, I hope to inspire a greater commitment to saving these species and protecting the environment. In the early stages of my work, I used mixed media to combine natural materials with abstract representations of environmental harm. I played with different textures, colors, and shapes to show the balance between life and extinction, letting the materials themselves reflect how delicate nature is. My piece Blending Worlds was one of the first pieces that conveys the animal outside of their natural habitat, making people think about how human actions are affecting wildlife. Melting, which shows a polar bear melting into the ice, symbolizes the harsh effects the climate has on these animals and helps raise awareness to how quickly they are losing their homes. Overall, visual art is a powerful way to show the beauty and importance of endangered animals, while also inspiring people to take action and protect them.
